Matthew 3:2
and saying, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near."
Stacey D. from Staunton, VA said:
We must always be mindful of the nearness of God and His Kingdom. It is right at our hand, right next to us. There is a Kingdom of Heave on this earth just as there is a Kingdom of Hell. It is interesting to me how many people can say that they believe that there is a hell on this earth (or that they believe that this earth ~this life~ is hell, and yet they do not believe that the Kingdom of Heaven also exists here as well. In the next chapter (4) we will see this: "the people living in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of the shadow of death a light has dawned.” (v.16). This answers the question. Before light came in to the world the people were in darkness. And, in the Gospel of John we learn that people naturally love the darkness. Matthew 2:12
And having been warned in a dream not to go back to Herod, they returned to their country by another route.

In this verse the Magi were warned in a dream not to return to Herod. In verses 13, 20, and 22 Joseph was given direction and warnings through dreams. This shows how God is ever vigilant watching and protecting us. But they also show how we reap benefits by being obedient as the Magi and Joseph were obedient to do the will of God without question.
