When I think about myself and how my flesh would want to strike back, I am amazed and humbled at Jesus not making any comment when He had access to all the Power in the world! Application: That is very convicting to me and reminds me that I do not have to defend myself when I am serving God with a true heart! I just need to surrender to God's Will and allow the Holy Spirit to live through me.

Amen and amen. We always have the tendency to want to defend ourselves but Jesus knew this was the will of the Father, and He was obedient to what God the Father wanted.

Jesus knew why He came to earth and that no man can harm Him if it's not the will of the Father, so He was silent. I pray that I will remember the same principle when people wrong me. The Lord says, "It is mine to avenge. I will repay."
