Jesus stopped and called them. "What do you want me to do for you?" he asked.

Whether it's the mother of Zebedee's sons or the two blind men who came to Jesus, He asked them what they wanted. We may have an unattainable and silly request like the mother or a desperate cry like the blind men. Our Lord wants us to ask and He will answer. You may be weary and troubled in life, but do you know what you want? Dare to ask and be specific. Our Lord is compassionate and loving.
