I wonder what the disciples actually preached when they went out. They were told to preach the gospel but was the gospel that we now know the same gospel that they preached in those early days. Was the gospel that they preached ... believe in the Lord Jesus because He is risen and He indeed is our Saviour and King. He is Messiah. He loves you. Trust Him. Follow Him. Would it have included the message that He died for our sins? Or was the full gospel developed later by Paul? It is interesting that signs accompanied the preaching of the gospel as the Lord was working with them (He is with us always). I believe signs should also accompany our message ,,, Is it our "lack of faith" that prevents Jesus from working along side us when we share the gospel?

The signs that accompany preaching are not to confirm us, they are to confirm His Word. God does not confirm us, He confirms HIS WORD! He signifies what He said He will do...He Will Do!

We are to roll up our sleeves and pick up where the disciples have left off, os to speak. The apostles didn't have the Bible then. Jesus Christ was with them the whole time and how awesome was that! He walked and talked with them, taught them and ate with them. Until Jesus Christ ascended to heaven where He belonged, and that was the turning point for the apostles and they went out with such fervor teaching, convincing, baptizing and converting people about the deity of Jesus Christ.

Sarah P. from Richlands, NC said:
Just as Jesus confirmed His Word with signs and wonders then, He will confirm His word now when we preach. Just as the signs caused people to believe then, signs will cause people to believe now. So we have to minister under the anointing and expect God to demonstrate His power.
