Luke 15:10
In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents."
Lloyd S. from Trenton, ON said:
This chapter is regarding the sinner who has drifted away from the security of God and His protection but with the help of those in the fold, have been persuaded to return to the safety of the Kingdom. It is so important that we, as believers, be on the lookout for those who have drifted away, or have never been in the Kingdom that we may encourage them to come into the fold of the house of the Lord, and be forgiven, both by us as believers and by the Lord, who promises to do so, as we should. James 5:15 And the prayer of faith will cure the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up. And if he has committed sins, it will be forgiven him.

In this chapter, Jesus makes this same statement not once, but twice! Jesus wanted us to truly understand how God feels when a sinner repents. All of heaven rejoices over each sinner who repents!

Who has not lost something 'valueable'? WE look and look until we find it. however Jesus says there is more rejoicing over one sinner who repents (changes his way and follows God).
