Jeremiah 18:12 – Sometimes we do so much wrong that we give up on ourselves. When will we ever get it right? We think we don’t deserve another chance (and we don’t). I don’t know if it is pride or fear but many that go in rehabs return, many that go to jails return. Many that are in unhealthy relationships leave but then come back again. After so many times of failure we don’t want to leave our save place, whatever it may be rehab, jail, relationship or whatever. We become addicted to failure and start to believe that we are failures therefore we fail. The people that love us and want to help us are the people we reject. The people we perceive as failures we cling to. In our own strength we will always fail but if we would just open our eyes, ears, and hearts to the Lord He can heal us. We are marred and broken but if we would just give ourselves to the Potter He can transform us in something beautiful in His time. God never gives us on us but He won’t force Himself on us either. His patient pursuing perfect love never fails. We fail, we fall but, the Potter wants to pick us up and make us again into something new according to His perfect plan for us. Lord, you are the Potter and I am the clay, mold and shape me and don’t let me stray.

This is like taking a selfie. I am so stubborn. I always default to my way, my timing, my control. Ughhh.
