"So I will consecrate the tent of meeting and the altar and will consecrate Aaron and his sons to serve me as priests.

The whole chapter lays out the requirements for consecration to the Lord. Consecration of the priests, the offerings, the regulations, the garments, etc. THEN, He says he will dwell among the Israelites and be their God. I am SO glad that Christ is our great High Priest. The pressure of having these exact specifications must have been enormous. Now, we go through Jesus, being consecrated, set apart, for His use, by the blood of the Lamb. I am grateful and thankful for Jesus, our atoning sacrifice :)

The house of God is a sacred place and should be revered as such. God dwells therein and when we meet in his home we should respect it and honor him. Those that serve in the house of the Lord as Pastors and leaders are to be respected in their position as servants of God. They should be set apart for the Lord's service and their position should be highly regarded.

What can I do to consecrate my home, myself and my children to be priests of the Lord? This is important and urgent! The Bible tells me that everyone of us is a priest of God, so I want to be a priest for God, not because I have, but because I want to!

Consecrate: dedicated to a sacred purpose. Purpose in the old testament, everything is about offerings. In the new testament there has only been one offering, Jesus. Jesus died for our sins. Thank you God.
