There was much discussion and disagreement among the Jewish believers but Peter reasoned with them, that the Gentile believers had received the Holy Spirit and ministered just as the apostles had. It was not due to following the Jewish rituals, such as circumcision, that made them believers, but belief in Christ who died for them.

I think you hit it right Lloyd, with their belief in the Lord Jesus they were saved, and the Grace of God also had a big part in being saved. I see you still having problems posting:) May you be challenged by the word of God today and every day.

Key words here: We believe, through the Grace of Our Lord Jesus we are saved, we as believers in Jesus Christ need His Grace, because Jesus is our only Hope for Salvation. Ephesians 2:8-9 For it is by Grace you have been saved, through Faith- and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-not by works, so that no one can boast. By Gods Grace and our Faith we are saved.

Well expressed and verified, Peter. Once again we chose the same verse and I believe you verified your answer better than myself by using Scripture. Blessings upon you my brother in Christ.

When Jesus Christ died on the cross, he did not say, I am dying for this group but that group has to do something additional to be saved. No, he died for everyone taking all our sins. Once we accept Him we have been saved, there is nothing else we have to do but have faith and live as Christ has taught us.

Amen, Patty. Eph 2:8-10 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: (9) Not of works, lest any man should boast. (10) For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

No! We believe it is through the Grace of our Lord Jesus that we are saved, just as they are." Grace comes as a Gift from the Father: James 1:17 Every Good and Perfect Gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. Grace through Christ the Son: John 1:17 For the law was given through Moses; Grace and Truth came through Jesus Christ. Grace from the Holy Spirit: How much more severely do you think someone deserves to be punished who has trampled the Son of God underfoot who has treated as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant that sanctified them, and who has insulted the Spirit of Grace. How can we Receive Grace: We must accept Christ: John 1:14,16 The word became flesh and made His dwelling among us. We have seen His Glory of the one and only Son, who came from the father, full of Grace and Truth. Out of His fullness we have All Received Grace in place of Grace already Given. All Believers Receive Grace: Ephesians 1:7-8 In Him we have Redemption through His Blood, the Forgiveness of Sins, in accordance with the Riches of God's Grace.
