2 Kings 18:5
Hezekiah trusted in the Lord, the God of Israel. There was no one like him among all the kings of Judah, either before him or after him.
Ken J. from Nakusp, BC said:
Trust and obey our Lord God Almighty is the only way we can live our lives as Hezekiah believed.
He knew that God was on his side and he was confident of victory. History proved Hezekiah to be right. We need to follow his example and have Faith in our Lord Jesus Christ to guide us in our lives.

I find this another confusing chapter but finally, Hezekiah, an honorable leader who trusted in God and did right in the eyes of his Lord. It is amazing how, all of a sudden there comes Hezekiah, one who does as was commanded by the Lord. I can only see the influence of God causing him to function honorably, when those before him and after, had been piecemeal in their actions toward God. So often in Scripture we are told to trust God with all our heart as Hezekiah did. Deut 6:5 And you shall love Jehovah your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. Prov 3:5 Trust in Jehovah with all your heart, and lean not to your own understanding. Matt 22:37 Jesus said to him, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.
