1 Chronicles 26:32
Jeriah had twenty-seven hundred relatives, who were able men and heads of families, and King David put them in charge of the Reubenites, the Gadites and the half-tribe of Manasseh for every matter pertaining to God and for the affairs of the king.

This whole chapter shows the assignment of all the men in charge of the temple and all of its divisions, from it's treasures to its gate keepers and all things related to the things of God. Yes, these men were the keepers but we need to remember, God is the owner of it all and He had arranged for its protection and management. Hallelujah.

Amen Lloyd we chose same verse, and that God chose reliable men as gatekeepers to guard all things related to God. It must have been a great privilege to be called to serve the Lord as a gatekeeper. And as gatekeepers today we must be like a watchman and pray for revival and eagerly wait for the Lords return. Be continually Blest by Gods word Lloyd. 88 degrees today with more rain :)

Capable men picked by David to serve the Kingdom of Israel, and to be faithful servants of the king and their duty to serve God. This chapter was difficult, but I believe it all points to serving and worshiping God. The Division of the Gate Keepers Established.

Amen Peter. And yes, another difficult chapter to really get much out of but It's all about the protection and management of God's treasures. Think we went from Winter to Summer in a hurry, Peter. Not sure where Spring went but had to turn the air on today and they're predicting 90 degrees for tomorrow. :-)

In our politically correct world it's nice to see there was no "separation between church and state" during David's reign. David had leaders who looked after the people's spiritual and physical needs. When Jesus returns and sets up His Kingdom everything will be about God and His glory. Come Lord Jesus!

David put capable men responsible for all things related to God. Philippians 4: 13 I (we) can do all this through Him who gives me(us ) strength. Always look to God.

David obviously saw that the Lord's territory and possessions dedicated to the Lord need to be guarded. It's a sign today for us that we ought to guard the and stand up for the commands and principles of the Lord as David did. Oh how we've failed in so many ways and it's time to proclaim and stand for the things of the Lord, in these days when such forsaking of His commands have taken place.
