Back in my early twenties a few years after I was saved, this verse became my life verse that I held on to as I was in a very troubling marriage to a man who hated Christian's at the time and I was belittled for my faith often or criticized if I took the kids to church or was seen reading my Bible. I often taught the kids the Bible when he wasn't home, we watched christianovies on Sunday morning. I made sure.my kids knew the basics, why God is real,ten commandments and how to defend their faith and trusted God with the rest. The marriage ended ten years later when he decided it was time for someone new. However God is faithful and never left me and my kids and I am in my forties now, have a good relationship with kids, made peace with my ex to whom I try to still show the light of Jesus, practice my faith freely, and I remarried.

Even as far as our culture has turned I feel God still longs for each one to turn back to him, there is another that says, He does not want any to perish, he is patient.
