I have learned and observed over the years through ministry, that often we tend to jump to the bigger things first. But when things are put in its perspective place, we will become better at a task. If we will just focus on the as you stated "the most basic of levels", then is when we can move into the greater things of God have also the spirit of wisdom, understanding, counsel and knowledge as we walk in the fear of the Lord.

God is calling His people to fulfill specific tasks and assignments. We have to respond being willing to go where He tells us to go and to do what He has asked us to do.

Amen! I too believe that everyone has a job to do for God and if we just take that first step of faith in Him, it will all fall into place because He will guide us and lead us where HE wants us to go and what to do! Hallelujah! Thank you Lord Jesus for Your amazing love and the faith and courage that You help us have to minister to others for You!

Amen! Yes, we have to take that first step of faith, but that is just the beginning. There will be many more steps that will require even more faith as our faith muscle is strengthened.

Yes, Rose, Mary and Nancy, if we keep working out with the same weights without increasing the poundage, we won't get strong. It gets pretty boring lifting weights that are too easy. God needs to break us out of our comfort zone. In order for muscles to grow, they need to tear, then rest to regrow stronger. But we need to pace ourselves and allow plateaus to grow stronger. I went to the gym one time and saw this girl that was smaller than me, lifting heavier weights than me. I felt embarrassed so I tried lifting heavier weights. I ended up hurting myself and couldn't go back to the gym for quite a while, and when I did go back I had to start back at even lighter weights. That taught me a lesson, not to compete with anyone but myself. God wants something different for each of us, and we need to listen to Him and His calling for us. Welcome to our forum Rose, we're glad your hear.

Amen! So true everyone. Everything is a process of step with precise instructions. We just have to follow the instructions and take steps of faith. Donna I like your analogy of the weights and the gym. I thought about when we work out, in the beginning everything in our body aches, crying out in agony and it seems nothing is taking place. But if we remain consistent and be persisten to follow through, we will see the end results which will be a lean and strong body. It's the same in the spirit realm. The more we exercise our faith, the stronger in God we become, learning how to walk and hear His voice clearly and precisely. Awesome comments. Wow! To God be the glory!
