Matthew 1:24
When Joseph woke up, he did what the angel of the Lord had commanded him and took Mary home as his wife.

Joseph heard from God, knew what he had to do, and was obedient to the word that was spoken.
His trust in God was firm, and resulted in decisive obedient action.

Joseph received clear instruction from the Lord that it was okay to move forward, because God was doing something important. God calms Joseph's fears, and lets him know that every thing would be okay - even if he didn't now fully understand all that was happening.
