2 Kings 2:10
"You have asked a difficult thing," Elijah said, "yet if you see me when I am taken from you, it will be yours—otherwise, it will not."
Cynthia M. from New Cumberlnd, PA said:
If we stand by the Lord and do what He wants us to do, go where He wants us to go, and carry His ministry how He wants it to be done for Him; He told us many times, Ask and it will be given unto us, then when we ask, it will be given - in His time, not ours, for His edification of completion in our lives, not so we can say, "we want it NOW." He knows when we need or want something and how it will be best used and when, and how it will be best used to His glory, and THAT's how and when we will receive what we ask for. Not before. No matter how difficult something is, God can do it. Believe that.

1 Samuel 21:5
David replied, "Indeed women have been kept from us, as usual whenever I set out. The men's bodies are holy even on missions that are not holy. How much more so today!"
Cynthia M. from New Cumberlnd, PA said:
Men's bodies are not mere sexual presences in the world around us, nor are women's; but they are homes for the Spirit and should be respected - and even David realized that back in the OT.

Cynthia M. from New Cumberlnd, PA said:
The Lord gives each person gifts of wisdom, understanding, knowledge, different kinds of skills, and it is up to each of us to refine these gifts given to us by the Lord and to use them as BEST WE CAN for Him. We, ourselves, as mere humans, could accomplish nothing withhout His help, and when He intercedes and GIVES us GIFTS to use freely that we can help ourselves and others - we should do our best to learn about these gifts and use them the best as we can, whether that makes us a teacher, a mechanic, a professor, a coach, a pastor, a councilor or a parent - we should always DO OUR BEST for the Lord, for the gift comes from being filled with the Spirit of God....

Exodus 30:15
The rich are not to give more than a half shekel and the poor are not to give less when you make the offering to the Lord to atone for your lives.
Cynthia M. from New Cumberlnd, PA said:
All were to be treated equal in the Lord's eyes - no one was to give more because he or she had more to give and no one was to give less because he or she had less to give. Each person was responsible for their own life and was to come up with a half shekel for the Lord to atone for themselves.
