Exodus 29:1
"This is what you are to do to consecrate them, so they may serve me as priests: Take a young bull and two rams without defect.
Kay J. from Thibodaux, LA said:
To serve God as He desires to be served and loved, there is a preparation for consecration. God laid it all out exactly as He wanted it done...for atonement and consecration of the priests and the people and the meeting place and altar which would be Most Holy and whatever else had to be consecrated before the Lord. This consecration was necessary before one could serve because God is Holy and totally set apart and the Israelites were a part of the Adamic (fallen) race. This reminds me of John the Baptizer, coming before the Lamb of God who would take away the sin/sins of the world, and compelling the Hebrew people to receive the baptism unto repentance, so tht they might be made ready for the Messiah to come...to receive Him. He called out to them to make their crooked paths straight so that they could follow the Lord. A Picture of Repentance and turning to God and the washing away of sins thru Baptism and folling the Lord according to His Word.

Exodus 29:45
Then I will dwell among the Israelites and be their God.
Kay J. from Thibodaux, LA said:
God's desire was to be among His people--b/c they were His people and He loved them. But since God is a Holy God, the Israelites and sons of Aaron had to follow the instructions of the Lord to be consecrated and atoned for before the Lord could dwell among them and be their God. So all of the instructions of this 29th chapter of Exodus were to make the Israelites a people He could come near to , and Aaron and his sons, the priests Holy unto the Lord on behalf of the people. God's instructions had to be followed to the T so that atonement could be made for the priests, people, altar, and meeting place...before God could come and dwell among them and speak to them and be their God. It was God's desire to care for them once they had been prepared to receive Him.

“Moses obeyed God's instructions exactly as he received them. This verse…”
