Isaiah 63:1
Who is this coming from Edom,
from Bozrah, with his garments stained crimson?
Who is this, robed in splendor,
striding forward in the greatness of his strength?

"It is I, proclaiming victory,
mighty to save."
David G.
David G. from San Antonio, TX said:
I am reminded that if I trust in the Lord, I have the victory. Praise God! for having victory in Christ. All things are new. God is mighty to save, transform and redeem. God thank you for your love. DG.

Isaiah 62:6
I have posted watchmen on your walls, Jerusalem;
they will never be silent day or night.
You who call on the Lord,
give yourselves no rest,

As I read this portion of the Scripture, I'm reminded that my first ministry is intercession. God is seeking for intercessors to stand in the gap for our family, our communities, our city, our state, our nation and the world. I am reminded that we should not stop praying and asking God to intervene and do wonderful miracles. The greatest miracle God demonstrates is the transformation of peoples lives. What a honor and what a privilege God has given us to partner with Him to intercede and proclaim the good news of salvation and built and advance His Kingdom. I praise you Father for your faithfulness. DG

You know David, I never thought of it that way. I do all those things but I struggle with it beginning to be a laundry list to God that I rattle off every day and gets longer every day because there's no one I ever meet that's not hurting in some way and needs prayer. As I go to pull out my prayer list, the dread factor seems to get worse every time, because as the list gets longer, I feel more and more like I'm just going thru the motions. I'm embarrassed to admit it, but if I can't share it honestly here, then this isn't a place I need to be hanging out. I love to read and dig and study the word, and after doing so, I always feel God working in my heart, speaking to me and that's more of a rewarding 2 way conversation with God, than sitting down and reading off my laundry list of intercession. So is going thru my laundry list of intercession an act of obedience that God honors, or has it become the "vain repetitions" that Jesus referred to in Matthew 6:7? I know the devil LOVES to make us feel that we're the only one that feels certain ways and that we're somehow inferior because of those feelings, but I feel like my prayer list is no more than works like praying the rosary. And if someone reading this prays the rosary and enjoys that, please don't take offense. This isn't about you, it's about me and having my relationship with God fresh and new every morning.

Isaiah 61:1
The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me,
because the Lord has anointed me
to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim freedom for the captives
and release from darkness for the prisoners,

As a Preacher of the Gospel, I'm reminded that I have the same mission as Jesus. To go and tell and share the good news of Salvation. It is my prayer that I may continue reaching many souls with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. DG

AMEN, AMEN, David. May the Lord bless you ministry and raise up many more to do likewise, for it is for the preachers to equip the body to minister and not do all ministry yourselves. I have seen to many preacher who have burned out because the body expected them to do it all. God bless you, David. I have a step son, and a brother named David, and my own brother does not know the Lord, even though he is an upright and honest man.

Yes, David, I TOTALLY agree with Lloyd. It's your job to duplicate yourself into your flock so it becomes multiplication rather than addition. Our church is Evangelism Explosion to do just that. God bless you and your ministry, David

Isaiah 58:13
"If you keep your feet from breaking the Sabbath
and from doing as you please on my holy day,
if you call the Sabbath a delight
and the Lord 's holy day honorable,
and if you honor it by not going your own way
and not doing as you please or speaking idle words,

Isaiah 57:15
For this is what the high and exalted One says—
he who lives forever, whose name is holy:
"I live in a high and holy place,
but also with the one who is contrite and lowly in spirit,
to revive the spirit of the lowly
and to revive the heart of the contrite.
David G.
David G. from San Antonio, TX said:
God's grace and love is seen in this verse. God is with the humble, the contrite, the one seeks His face. As we return to God, He will cleanse us, purify us, and revive us once again. God is good. Thank you Lord your faithfulness. DG
