Titus 2:14
who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good.

Here Paul is reminding us that Jesus suffered, took all our sins upon Himself and died on that cruel cross, was buried and rose again on the third day so that we can be redeemed from all wickedness and sinfulness to be like Him and live forever in Him. What a wonderful future for us all who believe and accept Christ Jesus as Lord and Saviour.

Jesus gave everything for my salvation in order that I would give everything back to Him in this life. I am a member of The Church, the Body of Christ, so I represent Him as I walk this life. If I am to avoid disgracing His body, I need to walk in obedience to Him.

When you know God and are one of His children, you want to do good. Jesus gave Himself for us to protect us from all wickedness. Sometimes we backslide into worldly passions, but we won't stay there because purity that only comes from our Lord Jesus calls us to come back to Him....once we are saved, we will always have the longing and will be eager to do what is good.
