Titus 1:15
To the pure, all things are pure, but to those who are corrupted and do not believe, nothing is pure. In fact, both their minds and consciences are corrupted.
Sue D. from Waupun, WI said:
I feel that this whole chapter is worth reading though many times. It shows us how we ought to look like. What we should strive to be. Yet, we need to remind ourselves that we need the help of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit to achieve this.
We need to ask the Lord to create in us a new heart, a pure heart. Also that he would help us to renew our minds, to help us to have the mind of Christ. We need to be sure to take every thought captive.
If we don't guard our hearts and minds, because of our enemy, the World, the flesh and the
devil, we are able to have our minds be filled with impure thoughts. When we fall into sin it is often because of an impure thought, that we have allowed our minds to think on.

This verse means to me that those who are good - see good and seek goodness in all things while those who do not believe in God - do not seek good in anything.

Patsy W. from Burgaw, NC said:
To those who know God try and have a desire to keep their thoughts pure, to talk and behave with purity. And when they fail, it bothers them until they make it right with God. However, for those who do not know God, their words, thoughts, and behavior are not with purity. And it doesn't bother them. This is a true picture that shows...how can a believer and a non believer ever be yoked together.

First giving honor to GOD, for HIS WORD... This verse stands out to me because I see it's meaning on a daily basis. To me it says that for believers, ALL THINGS of GOD are pure, but for non-believers, nothing is pure because satan has blinded by the things of this world. The system of the world, and seeking self satisfaction, doing whatever is pleasing in their own eyes.

A number of years ago, I quoted the part of verse, "To the pure, all things are pure,". This was to a friend, who replied that she did not agree with my "opinion" or similar words. I was startled and said, "That was no opinion, but scripture." When I see it or hear it, I think of this time and her.

Carolyn W. from Teague, TX said:
When you choose to walk with God people sometimes mock your faith and belief in God. They mock the fact that you choose to be pure before god. But they do not believe or trust in God. I believe when you accept Christ in your heart your mind is changed physically. I also believe that when you refuse Christ you mind is changed toward continually corruption and evil. This explains why they will not believe you. We can only pray that they will see the truth and come to the Lord.

This verse struck me. To the pure in heart, things of God are pure, but to the corrupted, things aren't pure. I have a very dear friend that has been a shining light to me in my Christian walk, but lately, this election has brought her heart out in the open with what she believes to be most important. She places nature, God's creation, and the environment above God. She is voting for the most immoral person in the race. I explained to her that everything was created by God, but not to be worshiped. She said that nature is God. I said you were created by God, are you God? She just looked at me. I am very disappointed in her heart, but I still love her and will pray for her. Only God knows a person's heart truly. I was mislead. God bless.
