Romans 15:12
And again, Isaiah says, "The Root of Jesse will spring up,
one who will arise to rule over the nations;
in him the Gentiles will hope."
one who will arise to rule over the nations;
in him the Gentiles will hope."
Lloyd S. from Trenton, ON said:
Key phrase here "The Root of Jesse" being Jesus Christ, since David was the son of Jesse and Jesus was of the line of David, therefore being "The Root of Jesse." It is amazing how God brought about the birth of His Son, which could be traced back through humanity, and yet Christ was the only totally righteous one ever to exist, even unto this current day. Thank You Lord, for Your righteous Son, who paid the price for our sins. Amen

The Hope of the Gentiles to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the Nations. And Jesus Christ is Ruler over the Nations. Praying for God to regenerate the hearts of man to turn from their wicked ways.

It never ceases to amaze me how some things in scripture are overlooked by me as I study specific things. I have been a Christian for most of my life but only the last 4 years have been spent in in depth study. This passage brought out to me the fact that God had planned for the gentiles salvation from the beginning. I get so wrapped up in the study of the rescue and salvation of the Jews from the Old Testament that I overlooked this point. God always has something new to show me each time I read His Word. Thank you God!
