This is the key factor in one's salvation; to proclaim with your mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead. On top of that of course, is to repent of our sins as God reveals them to us. As we are also instructed in Acts 3:19 "Therefore repent and convert so that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord."

This is a litmus test for assurance of our salvation. Yes, it is that simple, if we confes with our lips that Jesus has absolute sovereignty over our lives and that indeed God YHWH raised Him from the dead, WE ARE SAVED. There's no reason to doubt any longer. Do not allow the enemy and his minions to sow seeds of doubt in our minds, rebuke him with the Word. This is a great one to combat doubt.

You faith and belief is all that anyone needs. Though that faith, your choices should be affected.

Another powerful and one of the best known verses reiterating the simplicity of salvation once again. Whenever someone asks "how do I become a Christian or, how do I know if I'm saved", verses 8-12 gives you the answer. Salvation is as close as to your own mouth and heart. People may think it's a complicated process, or as some reglions still teach that you need to "do all this stuff", but it's not. In fact, Jesus' started his ministry with 3 words: "It is written" and he finished it with 3 words: "It is finished". All we need to do is simply believe everything in between.

This, to me, is a key verse. So many confess Christ as their savior but unless they truly believe in their heart of hearts (spirit) they will most likely fall away again. This may be the very reason for the great falling away in the end times. The only way to anchor in our hearts, that this is all real, is to do what we are doing each day, read the word of God and experience His presence and blessings in our lives.

So simple, yet a lot of people try to complicate it with man made rules and trying to do works instead of just confessing and believing. Just say I believe Jesus is my Lord ,I believe He died for my sins,I confess and repent of my sins, and I believe God raised Jesus from the dead. That is basically it ,it's not hard it's very easy and so worth it. Thank you Jesus.
