Psalms 97:10
Let those who love the Lord hate evil,
for he guards the lives of his faithful ones
and delivers them from the hand of the wicked.

What great assurance we have in the Lord, God Almighty, the only true and living God. There is so much wickedness in our world today, yet we are assured that our God sees all, and protects us from the wicked of the world. Thank You, Lord, for Your assuring words of truth. Amen

This is so true! We have to be prepared at ALL times because we never know when he will come at us! We need to know God's Word, keep a Scripture Journal of our own, highlight verses, mark them in our Bibles so that when he comes at us we can tell him to keep right on moving because God says in James that we can resist him and he HAS to flee! He has NO control over God and His Word; we do! And if we know the Scripture to use, he has to listen to us because we have God IN US, and we have the authority through Jesus and HIS NAME! AMEN!!

The Spirit led me to read Joshua 2-6 to see Rahab. Like Rahab, I have heard of God's power and seek refuge there. Now I wait on the tower, in that room, marked with the scarlet rope as God destroys the evil and delivers me and my family at the same time. Ps. 97:10 wraps up those chapters so eloquently.

There is so much evil in our world today. We need to be witnesses for Christ by living a life of righteousness. It is sad that even divorce in the church is as frequent as in the world which shows me that the church needs a shaking and start to become more than a religious business. I pray Holy Spirit will bring a transformation of the church, as it's too big for us to bring about on our own. I just finished listening to Anne Graham Lotz's National Day of Prayer message from this 2014 spring and then the message by Allen Hood, president of International House of Prayer. Both were tremendous warnings to the church and our nations.

This Psalm talks about the Power of this Mighty God. There is no one or nothing more powerful than my God. He is the "Great I Am"! He taught us Love through His living word spoken by His Son and through the life that was not taken...but given by His Son for my evilness. I am Blessed to be delivered from the hand of the wicked, and delivered to the embracing arms of my Father. A Father who promised me that He would no longer remember my sins or the iniquities of my life! There is reason always for Praising and Honoring our God. He should be.

Thank you Lloyd for sharing this. You are right. More and more I hear members of my Church family repeating gossip, showing signs of prejudice towards other members and then dismissing their actions by saying " I know that's not being a good Christian..but! There is no "but"!!!!! As the righteousness of God..it is our duty to represent Him in all of our ways. Not look for easy excuses to continue repeating those things that we have been forgiven for! We all miss the mark. Everyday...but we have to pray...we have to look towards our Father through out the day...we have to remember who we are in Christ...we have to allow ourselves to be led by the Holy Spirit. That is the Spirit of our Lord. To never again become comfortable in those things that our Lord has delivered us from. We might be the only reflection of Christ Jesus that some people will ever see. Love you guys. God Bless you all. I just love hearing how much God's love has transformed your thoughts and your lives. It's exciting to hear you share.
