Psalms 35:9
Then my soul will rejoice in the Lord
and delight in his salvation.
Peter B.
Peter B. from Buchanan, MI said:
Key words Rejoice in the Lord and Delight in His Salvation: David recognized Salvation wasn't by mans effort. But he recognized Salvation as God's Salvation. Ephesians 2: 8-9 "For by Grace you are saved through Faith, and not of yourself: it is the Gift of God: Not of works, lest any man shall boast.

There are LOTS of verses in this passage to commiserate with. We have all been mistreated at the hands of others. But I am choosing to keep my focus on the Lord and His goodness. He is my strength and my salvation. In Him I find my power. Greater is He that is in me than he who is in the world. I remember the verse that says to pray for those who persecute you. God is not willing that any should perish, so I pray (and often complain about) to God for them. 💜

Amen, Melissa. It is sometimes hard to pray for those who are, or, seem to be against us. I think of some of the things our governments have done against us that are against what we know are not of God, and we need to pray for their spiritual eyes and ears to be opened. I think of our own government at the moment, that are bringing in legislation that is totally anti-God. It appears that God has at this poin commiseratet given you a president who desires to bring God back into play in your nation. I keep praying for an awakening for ours and wisdom and protection for yours. God bless you, Melissa.

To me, it is important to note that the Lord's salvation was sought throughout the Bible. Those who love Him have always looked to Him for salvation, and He did provide a glorious salvation through His Son. It is also interesting to note that this particular chapter uses the term "Angel of the Lord" on more than one occasion. There are many Bible scholars who believe that this term was referring to Christ (pre-incarnate).
