Psalms 128:1
Blessed are all who fear the Lord,
who walk in obedience to him.
Terry J.
Terry J. from Hinsdale, NY said:
"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ." (Ephesians 1:3) We were chosen in Him before the creation of the world. We are adopted in the family of God. We have redemption and the forgiveness of sins. We have been sealed by the Holy Spirit. In this we say, "Praise the Lord!"

Hallelujah, Terry. Such a blessing we have through Christ. Fearing the Lord is not to be afraid of Him but to reverence Him, unless of course we disobey His commands, and then we need to fear. I watched an inspiring live program this past Thursday. Well worth the watch even though it was over an hour and a half. God bless you Terry. I like it the way the Amplified Bible puts it: " Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) is everyone who fears, reveres, and worships the Lord, who walks in His ways and lives according to His commandments." I truly to feel blessed to be a Christian! I pray that my "fear, revere and worship" increases daily!

Psalms 128:1
Blessed are all who fear the Lord,

Bonnie H. from Elm City, NC said:
When we come to know Christ we determine in our heart and mind that HE is superior over us and over all things. We develop a fear of the LORD. This is not a natural fear like we fear a person or a thing. This is a realization that he has control over everything. We respect his authority and have a desire in our heart to be obedient to his word. When we do walk in obedience then we are blessed by GOD. Only when we have that relevant fear can we have peace. When we stray away from GOD' s word we have this feeling of fear come over us. We know that we are not in line with his word and we fear the consequences we may face. This fear causes us to want to get back on the right path so we can know we are being obedient to him.

That's right Bonnie, the Word is or life support. We disconnect from it, we become the walking dead.

Psalms 128:1

Donna N. from Orlando, FL said:
When I first got saved, I feared God, as in, I was afraid of Him. Afraid that He was going to ask me to do something I didn't wanna do, like be a missionary and go to Africa and eat worms and bugs. I received Him as my savior, but not my Lord... big difference. I basically believed He died for me, and I was going to heaven, but that He saved me only cause He had to cause He had to honor the promise in His Word. Ever since I was a little girl I hated myself and wanted to die. I was going thru the ringer of life with the paradigm that I was a loser and God accepted me and loved me, just not as much as other people. So each disastrous relationship I went thru drove that belief deeper into my paradigm. Then, after much walking away and recomitting my life to Christ numerous times, I got to a point where I was hanging off the cliff, but I wasn't the one hanging on. That's when I gave God the end of my leash and told Him to take complete control of my life, and no matter how much I kick and scream, to never give it back and not to let me get more than 6" out of His will before He yanks me back in line. You know, like training a dog. Well He led me down a path I had no idea where it would lead. I went thru AA got sober and went thru the steps. That changed my paradigm a LOT. Then I discovered Celebrate Recovery and thru that I met a friend that told me about a program called Be In Health, based on a book called "A More Excellent Way", by Henry Wright. I, through a miraculous way, ended up going to Be In Health. Before going there, there was NEVER a time in my life where given the choice to live or die, I'd choose to live. I had even attempted suicide several times, yes, even as a Christian, I was suicidally depressed. I was on all types of anti depressant cocktails that would work for awhile then poop out. Immediately after completing the week at Be In Health, it was the first time in my life that I wasn't grateful that I was going to heaven and begging to go NOW. For the first time since I'd been on the psych meds, I was stable. Then after about a year, I felt God telling me to begin weaning myself off the meds. I took about a year of lowering my doses in incremental amounts, 1 med at a time. Now, praise God, I'm free of ALL psych meds. I still battle with the thoughts that want to tell me all those awful things about myself, but I know where they come from and how to deal with them. At Be In Health, and in "A More Excellent Way", Henry Wright teaches what's called the 8 R's. RECOGNIZE where it's coming from and to participate is sin. Take RESPONSIBILITY for it. REPENT for participating. RENOUNCE it, as in have a perfect hatred for it. REMOVE it, give it the boot, in the name of Jesus and by the power of the Holy Spirit. RESIST it, when it comes back, and it will. REJOICE for being set free, he whom the Son sets free is free indeed. RESTORE, as in help someone else to get free. I now realize those thoughts come from radio devil and when I listen to them, I'm sinning against myself and my Heavenly Father, and I need to do the 8 R's, and move on. I don't need to feel condemned. Rom 8:1 says There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, (a lot of translations leave out the 2nd part which is where all this greasy grace we're seeing comes from)  who do not walk according to the flesh (listening to radio devil), but according to the Spirit (listening to radio God). Thank You, Papa God, that I'm a new creature in Christ Jesus my Savior AND Lord.

Keep asking Him to set you free of that too, Donna. I know he did for me even a long time before I knew Him. Since I have come to know Him, I have given Him the credit because I fully believe He was the one who did it. Long story but a very short, in fact, instantaneous deliverance, and I never wanted another one.
