Proverbs 1:7
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge,

There are so many today who need to fear (reverence) the Lord, who do not at this point. Those who do not will end up fearing, being afraid of the Lord. Lord, awaken those who do not reverence You in this day, that they may come to reverence Your Mighty name, so that they will not have to fear, be afraid, upon Your appearance, that they may honor You and enter Your glory. Amen

There are 2 types of fear. One is to be frightened, the other is to be in awe. This is the latter. The more I'm in awe of my Papa God, the more I want to know Him. The only way to know Him is thru His Word. The more I study His Word, the more I see His love. The former mention of fear is referred to in 1 Tim 1 where Paul says God didn't give us the spirit of fear, but of Power (The Holy Spirit), Love (God the Father)and a sound mind (of Christ); and in 1 Jn 4 where he says, there's no fear in love, fear has torment, perfect love casts out fear. Satan has a very cheap counterfeit for everything God offers us. Every minute of every day, I have a choice. Radio God, radio devil. Perhaps you folks are tired of my talking of this, but I hafta remind myself also, because of my built in forgeter. I'm commanded to bring every thought captive to the obedience of Christ, radio God. The second part of this verse says if we despise wisdom we're a fool. A fool, according to Webster (circa 1913), is someone who lacks sense or judgement, a silly or stupid person. Psa 14 says a fool says in his heart that there's no God. There's a lot of people who believe in God, but don't fear (have awe and reverence for) Him. When confronted with God as loving, they agree, but when confronted with Him as a just judge, they say, "my God isn't like that". The problem with that is that that God doesn't exist. But the good news is that Papa God sent His Son Jesus to die on the cross and pay the penalty for our sins, as a FREE gift. All we hafta do is repent, believe in out heart that Jesus is Lord and confess with our mouth that God rose Him from the dead and accept His free gift of eternal life in heaven with Him, FOREVER. Truly only a fool would say no to that. The key word to all of that is repent. Satan has them bound thinking they're truly enjoying their sin. Papa God, please open the blind foolish eyes and deaf foolish ears of the people in our lives so they will receive the free gift of eternal life.

AMEN! I also think that some people think that just because they are living for God and they are in His grace and mercy, it is okay to do what they want, and that they will just ask for forgiveness for it later because God will forgive them for it. What they do not realize is, God's Grace and Mercy is NOT a license to sin!! Just because He says He will forgive us of our sins because He is a great and merciful God does not mean we can take Him for granted and do what we want now and repent for it later! What would happen if one was out there sinning, and then BANG! Oh no, Jesus has come back and your out there sinning and had no time to repent??!! WE ARE TO BE LIVING EVERY MINUTE OF EVERY DAY FOR JESUS AS IF HE WILL COME BACK "RIGHT NOW" TO GET US!! Amen??!!

This verse is such wisdom. The fear of the Lord is not fear as in being afraid of Him, but is saying give honor, respect and reverence to Him and in this we will walk in the paths He has commanded us to walk in. Fools are many and will eventually be destroyed according to their own foolishness and dishonor of the Lord. Help me, to always fear You, that I may be safe when I come face to face with You on judgement day. Amen

How can you fear someone that you don't believe exist, so you must first believe that Jesus is your Savior and God created everything you see and don't see. If you don't believe that you want get wisdom or instruction, you are lost. John 3:16-17 says it all.
