Following the Lord's command whether it was to stay camped or to move, obeying each part of his order. They were living by faith because the Lord talked through Moses. Now days we need everything to be verified because we do not trust others.

As followers of Jesus Christ we need to be always ready to "set out" when our Captain gives us an order to move. Perhaps we will receive an order to feed the hungry, give a cold drink to the thirsty, gift a gift to someone in need, share our faith with a lost one, help a widow, or help a neighbor. We need to be sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit and serve the Lord with a joyful heart!

It must have been comforting to the Israelites nothing that the Lord was guiding them at all times in their travels to the promise land. They could look up and see a cloud knowing the Lord was there. We know that God is with us as we feel him in our hearts. Amen for that.
