Not much to comment on in this chapter, except that it must have been a large task to sort out an verify all those who were eligible to hold positions in the priesthood and verify them.

After 70 years, Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, had allowed the return of the Israelites to their land. Jerusalem and its walls had been rebuild and the local towns re-inhabited. God had a plan and saw that His plan was completed. Lord, we know You have a plan for the world today, and we proclaim that You will complete Your plan. Help us, Lord, to realize our part in Your plan, that we may fulfill what You desire us to do, before the soon coming return of the Lord Jesus.

Once again, God's people were united and had worked together to rebuild what God had ordained. Lord, I ask that You would unite the people of Your church to work together for the rebuilding of Your church here on earth, so that we would be united in Your work and furtherance of Your kingdom here on earth before You, Lord Jesus, return. Amen
