I like Matthew 5:3-12 also. We are to love all people as God loves all. We are to live as Jesus lived. We are tp prayer for all. and if someone hurts us , we are to go to them with love and ask for forgiveness and make things roght. God will bless us in all things , if we do and listen to Him.

This really hit home a few weeks ago, when a student of ours etched in a bathroom wall that he/she was going to shoot people in the school on Friday. That whole day, we bashed the shooter, until God finally slapped me over the head and reminded me of this verse--- this "shooter" didn't need bashed-- he/she needed help- this was a cry for help. We still don't know who it was that etched this. But, I pray for this person every day and, every time I hear a student bashing this "shooter," I remind them that this person needs our help..not our harsh words. Praise God for reminding me of this verse!

Amen, so many times we think using harsh words or tough love corrects the problem but sometimes it does the opposite. We all need to be shown Love, we don't know what causes a person to feel whatever it is he is feeling to lash out or make the decisions we or they make..

Hard to love enemies, even friends sometime. Never really been persecuted but read about missionaries who had to forgive people doing persecution.

Because if you don't love your self, then how can you love God or anyone? As it was said if you can't show love to your fellow man then how can you love the Almighty. A forgive heart is a best way to made it to heaven. So you will have to love your enemies because is it so much hard to do. God love a cheerful giver.
