This entire chapter shows our weaknesses as humans. We promise, scheme, plan, try to manipulate....but, we need to instead rely completely on God, who is our strength. Everything else is reliance on self, and that will always disappoint!

knowing what this verse says gives me hope knowing that the Lord will be with me in heaven, and I do not have to worry. This verse shows me that even the disciples who eat with jesus and was with Him to learn from Him still made mistakes, they were so close to Him and yet the Lord still forgave him and He forgives us!!!

Peter had denied Jesus three times and then the rooster crowed.Jesus looked at Peter.I cannot imagine how bad Peter must have felt to have denied the one he loved so much.,and see the hurt look in Jesus eyes.It was good for Peter to have done this because it drove him to repentance and he became one of the greatest men in the world in doing the work of the Lord.We deny Jesus every day with our sins and offences. To bad we couldn"t all be like Peter and get out there and win souls for Jesus.
