This reminds us that our purpose here on earth is not to be served but to serve. Jesus calls for us to develop a humble heart and to love selflessly.

For us to be like Jesus we must live our lives serving others. So often people will say 'someone should do something', 'someone should help with that'. What we fail to see is we are the someone. God called us to serve others not sit back and wait for someone else to do it.

Praise be to God, for had He not come to earth in human form, His son Jesus, none of would have the chance for eternal life in heaven! We also have been put on this earth to serve one another as Jesus came to serve and to give up his Spirit, his LIFE as a ransom for our souls. Thanks you Jesus for being my Lord, my Comforter, myTeacher and my Savior! Amen

It makes you think that we are to serve just like Jesus but we don't always, not only serve God and our Lord and Savior but each other, always lend a helping hand, be willing to jump and show the compassion of Christ

Jesus is such a wonderful example in this verse. . I think of how Jesus was the Son of God and He worked right along side of his disciples and died for us on the cross in such a terrible way that He did not deserve.
