This verse shows how God uses His angels to protect us. Also how God has everything under control all we have to do is walk in obedience. I love Jehovah God I am so thankful He has allowed me to be His child! I praise His Holy Name!

This verse shows that God knows all things, and He protected His son, Jesus, from the command of Herod, who called for the death of Jesus. Father God, we thank You, that You spared the life of Jesus, Your son, so that He could grow up and minister to the people and then pay the ultimate sacrifice for my/our sins as You foretold through Your prophets. I love the obedience shown by Joseph in verses 13 and 19. Twice an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream and told him to do something and with no questions asked he obeyed.
Would we exercise that kind of obedience today I wonder!!!!

Many are skeptical about the idea of angels to be true. This is only one example of proof that angels do exist. And the role of the angel here is to protect. When we are facing dangers in life, God will send his angel to protect us.

The Lord appears to us in many different ways including dreams to tell and show us what to do. We just need to follow his instructions and all will be well. Joseph and Mary followed what angel said and obeyed.

This verse has three comands from God.
1. Get up
2. Take the child and his mother and escape to Egypt
3. Stay there until I tell you
Joseph having faith in God, followed God's comands with out asking any questions, he just did what God told him to do and is waiting for further instructions from God.
We are to be obeying every comand from God, and every instruction he gives. When God says "Get Up" then do it, when He says "Move" then do it. He will guide your paths and lead you to a safe place to protect you. He sees danger before us, so trust in Him and believe He will make a way.
In the last days, God will protect his children he will instruct us on where to go for a safe place and protect us until Jesus comes. The Holy Spirit speaks to us and guides us to where we need to be, listen and follow God's instructions and do has He says with out question. Live in faith.
