Matthew 4:19
"Come, follow me," Jesus said, "and I will send you out to fish for people."

"follow me" I like that who ever he calls to follow him, they dropped what they were doing and went with him. How did they know he was some one to leave their lives for befor they knew who he was. In our world to day, if a man came up to me and said " follow me I will make you a fisher of men". What in that moment would make me just go with no question. We have the Bible to tell us to follow Jesus, but it is not explained by Peter any where in the Bible what just made him know to follow Jesus.

This is he who was spoken of through the prophet Isaiah: "A voice of one calling in the wilderness,
'Prepare the way for the Lord,
make straight paths for him.' "

"Repent" an instruction, a comand from God. (v2) to make a radical change in one's life as a whole.
"Prepare the way for the Lord" preparing our hearts for Jesus to dwell in, cleans the sins out, clean our temple bodies so Jesus can work in us with clean hearts.
"make straight paths for him" In order for Jesus to live and dwell in us we must clear every errea of our minds, bodies and souls so that Jesus has our full attention on him to teach us how to live like him, talk like him and act like him.
Preparation for the Messiah was made in moral and spiritual way by the ministry of John, which focused on repentance and forgiveness of sin and the need of a Savior.

Matthew 2:13
When they had gone, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream. "Get up," he said, "take the child and his mother and escape to Egypt. Stay there until I tell you, for Herod is going to search for the child to kill him."

This verse has three comands from God.
1. Get up
2. Take the child and his mother and escape to Egypt
3. Stay there until I tell you
Joseph having faith in God, followed God's comands with out asking any questions, he just did what God told him to do and is waiting for further instructions from God.
We are to be obeying every comand from God, and every instruction he gives. When God says "Get Up" then do it, when He says "Move" then do it. He will guide your paths and lead you to a safe place to protect you. He sees danger before us, so trust in Him and believe He will make a way.
In the last days, God will protect his children he will instruct us on where to go for a safe place and protect us until Jesus comes. The Holy Spirit speaks to us and guides us to where we need to be, listen and follow God's instructions and do has He says with out question. Live in faith.

She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins."

"Will save his people" this is key, God came to save us from this world. " Will save " that in it self is a promis, a sealed deal, a sure thing, taking us back, paralleled in Jesus' second coming.
" His people " a statement of us belong to him, from the beginning we were his
" from sin" from bondage, from darkness, from death.
Only through Jesus we are saved. In no other name is there salvation. I was not there, I did not hear or see any of these things for my self, but I believe with all my heart, mind and soul that what is written in the Bible to be true. I accept Jesus as my savior, by my faith in him
I am saved. Thank you Jesus for saving me!
