Matthew 18:35
"This is how my heavenly Father will treat each of you unless you forgive your brother or sister from your heart."
Peter B.
Peter B. from Buchanan, MI said:
Forgiveness and Repentance is key through out the word of God. We are told by God to forgive, because God forgave us. And being unforgiving hinders our relationship with God, and it also hinders our forgiveness from God. Scripture calls for us to forgive one another, Ephesians 4:32 Be kind and compassionate to one another, Forgiving each other, just as in Christ God Forgave you. Amen Lloyd they left out a verse in this chapter.

So true, Peter. Forgiveness and Repentance are two very important factors in our walk with Christ. It is so easy to judge and condemn others instead of checking my own attitude and walk with Christ. As you have quoted here, we are to forgive one another as Christ forgave us and Jesus tells us in Luke we must repent. Luk 13:3  I tell you, No. But unless you repent, you will all likewise perish. Be encouraged and refreshed as you seek after His ways this week, my brother in Christ.

"This is how My Heavenly Father will Treat each of (us) you unless you Forgive your Brother or Sister from your Heart." God is very Forgiving Mathew 6: 12 , 14-14 And Forgive us Our Debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. For if you forgive other people who they sin against you, your (our) Heavenly Father will also for give you (us). But if you do not forgive others of their sins, your (our) Father will not forgive your (our) Sins. James 2: 13 Because Judgment with out Mercy will be shown to anyone who has not been merciful. Mercy Triumphs over Judgment. If People are Merciful God will be Merciful at the Judgement. Colossians 3: 13 Bear with each other and Forgive one another if any of you has a Grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord Forgave you(us) Amen

Being born again will not save you from God's anger if you accept His forgiveness, but, do not forgive others yourself. I need to take this to heart. We all do.

Forgiveness is a powerful thing; the one who forgives is the one who is healed. When we don't forgive, we are the ones who are hurt.

This is a very sobering scripture. Forgiveness is so big to God. We will be reminded of this in a very big way on Good Friday as we reflect on Jesus forgiving those who killed Him while hanging on the cross. Forgiving is hard to do but we can do all things through Christ strengthens us. To anyone who reads this : Have a blessed Easter.

If I could see all of the sins that I have ever commited put in one BIG pile at one time. I bet I would not have any trouble forgiving my brother or sister. Lord your word has hit me very hard this morning.Father your word says,"For I will forgive their wickedness and remember their sins no more"(Hebrews8:12) Father, I ask you for that strength. Father, you also said to me that your strength is found through my weakness. Lord please forgive me.
