Hi Demetrius, I took a look at that passage. I am thinking that this verse should be considered in context with the verses around it. (15-20) Here Jesus is explaining the right way to deal with a sinning brother. If we follow his instructions, then verse 18 would apply to our handling of the case of a sinning brother.

Brian's comment is so true Demetrius. It is always good to watch that we take a verse in context with the rest of the passage surrounding it. I believe many denominations have been formed because someone took a verse out of context, and denominations are all man made, never once mentioned in Scripture. There were many churches but all were under Christ with the same doctrine. God bless you brother.
