Jesus warns them not to believe what the Pharisees and the Sadducees teach, for they do not have God in their words-- only human concerns. It is the same with this life, if you want to save your life for human purposes, you will lose your life in the end, for Jesus wanted to save you, but you would not let Him. But, if you live for Christ, and lose your life of the human world, then Jesus will give you everlasting life. Praise be to God!

How easy it is to miss the message because our focus is in the wrong place. They were looking for a reasoning in the natural [it's because we didn't bring any bread] for the spiritual warning [beware the yeast of the Pharisees and Saduccees].
Sometimes we resist the message because we think the speaker is pointing us out for some issue or wrongdoing. Have you heard someone complain after a message that they were being picked on or "preached on"? Could it be that God was giving a spiritual warning that the hearer took in a natural (carnal) interpretation? Got to be careful HOW we hear as well as WHAT we hear!

A little yeast affects a whole batch of dough. The same goes for sin. A small lie can grow to epic proportions

This is true of us today, we have to gaurd ourselves against the Pharisees and Sadducees of today. All the things around us are the yeast that Jesus was talking about, Even some of our Ministers and Priest are misgiuding us. The things we hear on the TV, radio, newspapers, songs. We have to double our effects to keep in the work of Jesus. We need today more then we have ever needed him. Satan is always trying to drags us down. As long as we stand with Jesus we will get through these times until he returns to gather us up.

Still today we need to guard ourselves against the teaching of the Pharisees and Sadducees of today. They are all aroud us, TV, Songs, Radio all the new gadgets, even some of our Priests today we have to weed through all that is going on around us to know which is God the Father and which is Satan. It's a hard and unsettling world we live in today and without Jesus and his word we will be lost to the evil one.
