Anyone who believes in Jesus, those who spread his word and acknowledges him before others are diciples of Christ. Not just the twelve deciples. Jesus told Mary Magdaline this very thing. If we deny Christ he will deny us before the Father. We cannot get to heaven without going through Jesus. Even our prayers to God the Father are done in the name of Jesus.

Speaking up about Jesus in a crowd of non-believers is very hard. Yet that is when we are supposed to (see verse 7) even though the consequences may be dire (see verse 17). Let us pray that we all have the power of God in us and the will to rely on it.
