We are called to carry our cross, the Christian path is not self- fulfillment, but self- denial and to put Gods plans ahead of our own. And taking up our cross, casting off our old self and having a New Nature in Christ.

To be God's children, we would be like Him; carry the cross and nailed on the cross, rise on the 3rd day. That mean we carry our old self nail on the cross (dead or gone), accept Jesus Christ and be born again a new ME.

When people hear Jesus' teachings and read about the miracles that He performed, many may think they want to be His disciples. However, the price of a disciple sometimes may be too high a price to pay for some. But Jesus said, "What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul?" May God give us eternal perspective to see that there is a price to pay to follow Christ, but never too high.
