Luke 12:40
You also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him."
Lloyd S. from Trenton, ON said:
It is time for the body of Christ (the church) to be ready, as we are not told when He will appear in all His glory and we must be ready. We must do all we are able to present the gospel to those who do not realize their need, for those who do not know Christ as Lord and Savior will perish into a place of eternal torment. Rev 20:15 And if anyone was not found having been written in the Book of Life, he was cast into the Lake of Fire.

Are we truly in ready mode or have we, like most Christians, relaxed our standards and gone the way of the world? Are we staying in the Word reading our Bibles daily? Are we sharing the Word with a people desperate for what only Jesus can provide, HOPE? Are we living our lives in a matter that causes us to be that beacon of light in a world chock full of darkness? Are we following Jesus or do we put Him in the background and cry out to Him only when we lose our way? Please let us get our houses in order and be ready for a Savior who was more than ready to die for US!!!

Lord please help me be ready at all times. Guard my heart, my thoughts and my actions that I may not sin against you. I want to spend eternity with You. Thank you Lord, amen.

An important reminder to not allow the busyness of each day to overshadow the most important time spent with God.

Am I ready for His return? Is my light shining? Am I unashamed to share Jesus and the gospel with others. Are my priorities right - seeking first His kingdom? Am I storing things up for use on this earth or for heaven? Am I watching and waiting? Am I serving? Lord continue to do in my life whatever is necessary to make me ready for your soon return. Come Lord Jesus.
