Leviticus 10:19
Aaron replied to Moses, "Today they sacrificed their sin offering and their burnt offering before the Lord, but such things as this have happened to me. Would the Lord have been pleased if I had eaten the sin offering today?"

Aaron knew that even though he was sanctified by the blood of animals and anointed before God, he still was a sinful man because being human, he'd sinned before he still sins everyday. His reason for not eating the sin offering was that he himself sins, how could he be considered holy to be eating the people's sin offering of which the blood had not been brought into the tent of meeting. And his answer pleased Moses. Only now are we truly forgiven of our sins because Jesus has said "I am the way and the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father except through me." There is no shortcut or any other way, but only through Jesus will we have life.

-As God's people serve him, he often asks us to wait on him and trust him for the outcome. -The results of our service and activities done in our personal priesthood are always to manifest the glory of God before others. -Those whom God calls into leadership are subject to higher standards. -Trust God as you face the struggles of life. -Rest in the truth that God is more concerned with making changes in your life than keeping you comfortable. I think that Aaron had a reasonable reason to put aside eating the sin offering. That might not have been what God expected. Remember, "Obediance is better than Sacrifice."

It's not a matter of obedience...it's also a matter of attitude.
