This whole verse is a powerful message not only to the blind begger and the pharasees but to the world. "So the blind will see( who are physically and spiritually blind/sinners) and the normal sight of the Pharasees brought on spiritual blindness, being ignorant of sin. They were blind to the Scriptures and therefore ignorant of Jesus. 2 Corinthians 4: 4 in who's case the go of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that they night not see the light of the Gospel of the Glory of Christ, who is the image of God.

Those who acknowledge their spiritual blindness and seek and receive the light of the world, which is Jesus, will receive spiritual insight and guidance and will discern God's view of what is good and what is evil. Those who think they understand everything on their own will lose whatever understanding God gave them. They will morally stumble and wander as a spiritually blind person.

This passages summarizes the message of the entire chapter where we are told of someone who was physically blind from birth (considered a sinner by the Pharisees) was healed by Jesus. The Pharisees are the ones who are spiritually blind because they could not see that Jesus was the Son of God, the promised Messiah. They were blind. I remember when I was blind and didn't see Him or know Him and I remember how my eyes were opened and recognized Him as my Saviour and Lord. God, continue to do this miracle and open eyes so that those around us can see Jesus and receive Him.
