Jesus does not tell us to love one another if we like each other or if we are friends. He tells us we are to love one another as he loves us. Thank goodness God does not love only those who never sin and fall short because none of us would receive his love. We are to love everyone- just as Christ loves us.

I love this verse and this command from Jesus. Jesus loved us, still does with all his being. Aren't we to show this same love to one another?! We are to let the love of Jesus shine through us so that others can see him!!

I believe this a command that we as the family of God think we obey and live out but many (a large percentage) really do not including myself. We seem to be so caught up in "selfish" things that we do not have the time or take the time to build healthy strong relationships that are real and authentic with those we attend church with. Are we truly loving one another as Jesus loved us? I must admit, I am not. Lord forgive me. Cleanse me. Fill me with your love and help me be a demonstration of your kind fa love so that those who don't know you would be attracted to you. Thank you Jesus!
