Isaiah 63:7
I will tell of the kindnesses of the Lord,
the deeds for which he is to be praised,
according to all the Lord has done for us—
yes, the many good things
he has done for Israel,
according to his compassion and many kindnesses.

Isaiah 63:7 - Wow, we just read of God’s wrath which is what we all deserve. But God offers us a free gift of salvation and to those that believe and receive Jesus He gave them the power to become sons of God. We all deserve everlasting torture but God is merciful and has saved us. He not only saved us but made us join heirs with Christ. Some of the words are repeated in this verse. Kindness(es) deed(s) good thing(s) and they are in the plural which implies that words are insufficient to express the amount of God good deeds and kindness to us. People need to know, people need to hear, about the kindness(es) of our Lord. If we don’t tell them, who will? Here I am Lord, send me. ♫ I will sing of the mercies of the Lord forever I will sing, I will sing. ♪ With my mouth will I make known ♫ Thy faithfulness to all generations. ♫

We are, or at least we should be a living testimony to the Lord's kindness. We should be constantly praising God for the many blessing He bestows upon us daily by the words we speak and by the way we live our lives. We should be showing Jesus to the world through our lifestyle, not just by the words we speak. Unless we strive to live a Christ like life, why will anyone listen to us or believe what we say? If we want to win souls for the Kingdom, we must walk the walk, we must live what we teach and preach.

Amen, Jerry. So often we take for granted the things He provides for us each day, like the sun to warm the earth and air to breath. I have often pondered how He has caused the sun to burn for thousands of years, yet it never burns up or runs out of fuel. The sun is 93,000,000 miles from the earth and yet it still warms us the same today as when He hung it in the sky. And people don't believe in God??? I think they need to give their head a shake and ponder a while. God bless, Jerry...!!!

Yes, Jerry and Lloyd, and He put the sun JUST the right distance any closer and we'd burn up any further and we'd freeze to death. He mixed just the right amount of oxygen for us to breathe. We are indeed fearfully and wonderfully made.

Isaiah 63: 7 I will tell of the kindnesses of the Lord, the deeds for which He is to be praised, according to all the Lord has done for us--- YES, the many good things He has done for Israel, according to His compassion and many kindnesses. To teach and talk to people about the kindnesses of the Lord and tell them why He is to be praised because of what He has done for us, and all the many good things that He has done for Israel, and what He still does for us today because of His compassion and kindness and love for us, IS what we are to be doing so that they too can hear Him say; (8) "Surely they are My people, sons who will not be false to Me", and so He became their Savior just like He has become ours! Thank You Lord Jesus that You have become my Savior and because of what You have done for me and died on the cross for my Salvation, I know of the kindnesses of our Father and how compassionate He is, and I will praise His name and let everyone know just how great and wonderful the Lord is and what He wants to do for them too!! AMEN!!

This chapter starts out asking the LORD, "Why is Your apparel red?" He answers, "I have trodden the winepress alone … their blood is sprinkled upon My garments." This promise is fulfilled when Jesus returns to the earth, and corelates with passages in Revelation 19:13 and 15: He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God … Now out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. The fact that He trodded the winepress alone is a reminder that Jesus Christ alone is worthy of this work of judgment. He alone atoned for our sins when He hung on the cross bearing the weight of the sins of the whole earth, past present and future. Also, He alone judges the world . God doesn't need us to execute His ultimate judgment; we leave that to Him. I've known believers, including myself that believe their afflictions are punishments sent from God because they sinned. But as I've gotten to know God better as my loving Papa, I realize that's impossible. God put all that punishment once and for all in Christ, and being a just God, won't ever punish us again. He uses afflictions as chastisements from a loving Father's hand, to get our attention to bring us back into line with His plan for us, but they're not judicial punishments. Jesus alone: trodded the wine-press, so we don't have to. A lot of people think of good cop bad cop with God being the heavy handed bad cop and Jesus being the Mr, nice guy good cop, so all this talk about Jesus treading the world like a winepress sounds almost foreign to us. We rarely think of vengeance being in the heart of Jesus, but Jesus prophetically said in John 5:22 the Father judges no one, but has committed all judgment to the Son. So this brings me to the verse I selected about His lovingkindness. He sent the Angel of His Presence to save them: This refers to the presence and work of Jesus among ancient Israel, this is known as a Christophony, a revelation of the pre incarnate Jesus making an appearance. And what did they do? Despite this outpouring of love and mercy from God, His people responded with cold, rebellious, unresponsive hearts, and God had to deal with this in His people, so He fought against them. This passage is one of the few revelations of the triune God head in the OT. We hear from God the Father, calling them His children, God the Son (the Angel of His Presence), and God the Holy Spirit whom They grieved. So it comes full circle. We can listen to radio God and let Him fight our battles for us and bestow His lovingkindness upon all who will reap the benefits of His protection and love, or we can listen to radio devil broadcasting his message of self sufficiency and pulling ourselves up by our own boot straps and reap his benefits of false security and eventually crash and burn. I've made my choice, radio God all the way. Papa God, when I begin to listen to radio devil, thinking I ever, for 1 singke second think I can do ANYTHING apart from You, yank my leash and bring me back to radio God.
