Hebrews 4:12
For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.
Peter B. from Buchanan, MI said:
Key phrase; Sharper than any double-edged sword, The word of God, the word of God is alive and powerful, it is also a word of warning. Gods word reveals the wickedness inside of us, and Gods word exposes wickedness/sin. And its better to have God's word judge us now , because God will judge us later. We can trust God's word because the word is Powerful and Alive.

Hebrews 4:12-13
Really expresses the power of God's word. God works thru us, but make no mistake it's HIS WORD thru the power of the Holy Spirit that changes hearts. Get the WORD in front of people daily. Quote scripture and let God move. Nothing can be hidden from God. The word changes the things of the heart we can't see. We just need to be obedient in our pursuit of others for eternal life.

Hebrews 4: 12 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. 13 And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.
The Bible isn't just some collection of musty old stories and myths, it's alive and powerful. A preacher doesn't make the Bible "come alive," it's alive, and gives life to the preacher and anyone who receives it.
According to Psalm 1, it brings true health, fruitfulness, prosperity and success to what we do. Psalm 107:20, Matthew 8:8, Matthew 8:16 tell us that it will heal and deliver us. John 15:3, Ephesians 5:26 say it's cleansing. Psalm 119 says it'll keep us from sin if we hide it in our hearts, it's our guidance counselor, it imparts life to us, illuminates our path, makes us wise, gives us peace and security and it's essential to eternal life, and NEVER comes back void.
When I'm sharing the gospel, people either receive it with great joy or hostility. There's usually no middle ground. Because it's living and active, it probes into the heart like a surgeons scalpel and demands a reaction, cutting away what needs to be cut and leaving what needs to be kept.
Have you ever listened to a sermon and been absolutely certain he was reading your mail, or someone told him your situation because he was speaking right to you? That's the 2 edged sword of the Holy Spirits ministry to cut right into your heart right where your at and demand that you ponder the change needed in your life.
No one's hiding from God, or getting away with anything. He sees it all, and we're all gonna give Him an account for what we did here on planet earth.
Thank You, Papa God for your Word that became flesh and ever lives to reveal and convict those who will receive it into their life.

And here it is... Some people try to get job interviews, favor, relationships etc. by saying they are a "Christian". I've learned that means nothing. Christians, lie, steal, covet, swear, etc.. just like eveyoen else. The difference is SHOW them and they will want what you have. This book is so "sharp" that it will change the way you think, your atittude and your denstiny.

Living for God is not something that is done on the surface level and sadly for many is missed because of the practice of rituals and traditions. Lord I pray that you examine my heart daily and give me guidance and direction into living the life that you intended for me and fulfilling your will.

I find that this verse is one of the most important ones for Christians. The longer I walk with God, the more I find I need His Word. I have never read a book that seems to change every time I open it; yet stays the same. It is fluid, yet solid; it is comforting, yet stern; it is instructive, yet corrective. God's Word, truly is alive and active, it's His Love for us all.
