"Fix your thoughts on Jesus...." In the course of a day we think about all kinds of things. Some of those things may be important and often we worry about things we have no control over. But this verse reminds us we need to fix our thoughts on Jesus! How would that change the way we see our day if our minds were fixed on Him? Help us Lord to center out attention to You and lay our burdens down at Your feet each and every day!

This verse reminds me to "fix my thoughts on Jesus" everyday. I reminds me that I need to get into His word everyday to know God. Jesus is the author and perfector of our faith. It is only through Him that we can know what God is truly like. He does not change with the times, what He said then still stands today. The world may tell us what is acceptable today, but if it goes against God's word -- then it is a lie and a sin. Many people chose not to believe God's word today because it goes against what they want to do.

Often circumstances and situations that we encounter can distract us from fixing our eyes on Jesus and lead us into other directions. Relationships, finances, jobs, etc. should all be centered around Christ and, Lord, I pray that I stay focused on you at all times not allowing the simple things of this world to distract me from the plans that you have for me!

We can't do anything without Jesus. I need to look to him and ask him what is hiss will to be done daily.
