Exodus 9:16
But I have raised you up for this very purpose, that I might show you my power and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth.

No one is as powerful as the LORD. He is LORD over the earth and the universe. Even someone as powerful as the pharaoh was under his mercy. He could have easily strike Egypt with a devastating plague that wipe them out but he has a purpose for his action. The LORD with his great patience has prepared a way to revealed his glory and power to his people so that they may see it and believe in Him. God is love. Let's stand firm in Him and never be shaken!

This passage as well as much of the others in this reading shows mercy from god. He let's pharoah know that yes he could strike all down but he has not because he's given them another chance to save themselves. God doesn't want harm for us but our tempter the evil one, sees it as advantage where he can have his own fun and try to turn our hearts away. God gives his children choices as every good father does, and hope they learned from every expierience like the experiencees pharoah is facing, that his children will chose the right path.
