Bronze Basin, The Basin of Washing, for priest to wash before entering the Holy of Holies, a sacred place designed by God for the atonement of sin. And as Christians we are cleansed from our sin by being washed in the Blood of Christ, so that we might perform our duties serving a Holy God in Holy duties.

The lavor, the bronze basin was for cleansing, when they looked in the laver they could see themselves as looking in a mirror. When we look into the Word of God we see our sin but the Word of God cleasnes us from all unrighteousness if we act on it. James 1:22-23 - Do not merely listen to the Word and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. Anyone who listens to the Word but does not do what it says is like a man who looks at his face in a mirror and after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like.

What a wonderful testament to those women who served God. Despite the fact that all the work in the tabernacle was male oriented, there was servicw ro bw done by God's women. The mirrors were taken from the woman who served at the entrance of the Tent of Meeting. As I truly surrender to Christ as Lord and Master, my reflection is hidden in Him. I am not to be concerned about seeing myself or "my reflection" but the Lord's reflection in me.
Also, the mirrors reflected the limited light in the Holy Place. Is there some place I can bring more "Light" to. Is there darkness in any place I know that should be reflecting more of the Glory of God. Do I have any tools, talents, or treasures that would accomplish bringing in more "Light" or reflect the glory of the Lord?

It never ceases to amaze me that the Lord can take so common a thing as MIRRORS that were an offering to Him and use them for so noble a purpose....kind of like us.
