The ark was made just as the Lord had directed by those He had talented to be able to do as He had instructed. The are reports of the ark having been found but if so, it will surely be stone cold proof of the truth of Scripture. I read a report recently that when the ark was found there was blood on the lid of it but it was tested and had different properties than normal human blood. Once again, proving that it was Christ's blood that had been shed, and it according to the report was found directly under the place where the cross of Christ had stood. I expect there will relatively soon be more and more revelations of the accuracy of Scripture. Lord, may You reveal the truth of the Scriptures to the world, by the revelation od such items as the ark. Amen

I understand from this verse is that God's presence's resided in this ark and the cherubim showed not only protection, but they showed reverenced to our All Mighty at all times. God bless you all.

Cherubim were angelic beings associated with guarding and bearing God's throne. The cover (mercy seat) was the symbol of God's throne protected by the cherubim.
