Exodus 36:5
and said to Moses, "The people are bringing more than enough for doing the work the Lord commanded to be done."

This is a great example of what can be done when we use the gifts God has given us to do his work there is always an abundance. God gives us what we need if we come together using what we have and helping one another we can accomplish great things. Accomplishments that would be impossible alone. Appreciate what you can give and what others have to give as well.

This verse reminds me of the scripture in Malachi 3:10 "Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it." It is true, God continually blesses us, sometimes to the point that we want to say, "God, I have more than enough, you don't have to bless me anymore" yet his blessings continues. When we love the LORD, He fills our heart with a joy that cannot be described with words. Psalm 146:2 "I will praise the Lord all my life;I will sing praise to my God as long as I live."

More than enough! We have more than enough to accomplish the work if we are willing to give it to the work of the Lord and the task before us of preaching the gospel to every tongue and nation..

When the Lord's people are behind a work, they can overwhelm it with the blessings that they received from the Lord. After all, before they left Egypt, they were slaves. But God made the Egyptians show favour on them in their departure and the Egyptians showered them with precious items. Now they have an abundance for the Lord's work. Give generously of what the Lord provides for you.

Oh, the willingness of the people to do as God commanded; so much so that they actually brought too much. If only we today, had that same willingness to do the things of God, how much better the world would be.

The Lord's people gave more than they needed is an example to the church today to respond in love for our Lord.

I pray that the Church here in America would really learn what community is about and give in the manner that the Israelites did in this passage. I feel that there is too much of an emphasis on making a bigger # of people in the Church than taking care of the ones already there. We need to bring more than enough to do the Lord's work!!!!

All the people jioned together to do as God asked and they were making more than enough, so Moses had to say there was more than enough material for the building.
