We do sin. Even after we become Christians. When we confess with a truly contrite heart, God forgives. That doesn't mean there are no consequences for the sins we commit. Our rebellious choices do come at a price. But as the song says, "He doesn't throw the clay away." Moses confessed and made intercession for the sins of the Israelites. God called Moses back up the mountain to again write the 10 commandments on the stones.

The commandments of the Lord are written in my heart. They get erased whenever I disobey any of them. I must always allow the Lord to rewrite it everytime I fail until they are permanently etched due to my obedience. Help me Lord to always obey your commandments.
