Exodus 33:11
The Lord would speak to Moses face to face, as one speaks to a friend. Then Moses would return to the camp, but his young aide Joshua son of Nun did not leave the tent.

Peter B.
Peter B. from Buchanan, MI said:
Here we see Moses a spokesperson between God and His people. A spokesperson for the word of God. A mediator in relaying Gods will to the people, giving of the Covenant and the law through Moses, the responsibilities, the functions of the priesthood, the tabernacle, and the sacrifices that are to be performed .

Amen Peter. Moses was always obedient to the Lord, and the people knew that what Moses spoke was from the Lord. Sounds like Joshua just wanted more of the Lord, thus he stayed in the tent with the presence of the Lord. Enjoy a pleasant weekend Peter, not sure where that week went. Felt like yesterday was Monday. :-)

In the days of Moses the people required an intercession or Priest to speak to God on their behalf. How blessed are we that we no longer need an intercession, but may come boldly before God's throne of grace for praise and worship or to make petitions to out Lord and Savior. Praise our God for His rich blessing!

This is confirmation of the revelation that G-d talks to me as Counselor (Isaiah 6:9) speaks to a Friend, holds my hand, and walks with me! This is also confirmation of being a Friend of God like my ancestor, AbrahamI

Praise God that He sent His son Jesus Christ so that we all have the same privilege that Moses had. We can talk with our Father face to face as a friend. Amen

I feel like there are much more important verses in today's reading, but I liked this one because Moses is talking to God like He is a frIend- that is so important. We can talk to God like a friend- he doesn't require high style of prayer and a fancy couch to sit upon. As long as you believe- He'd be just as happy talking to you at the lunch table than dressed up at the dinner table- we have the luxury of talking to God anywhere!! Now, how awesome is that. :)
