Exodus 30:7
"Aaron must burn fragrant incense on the altar every morning when he tends the lamps.
Peter B.
Peter B. from Buchanan, MI said:
Key words " Aaron must burn Fragrant Incense on the alter every morning.(and evening)"The alter of Incense, and the burning of incense signifies the prayers going up before God.Prayer is the most intimate way to enter into God's presence. Psalm 141: 2 May my prayer be set before you like incense, may my lifting up of my hands be like the evening sacrifice.

Once again, well expressed Peter, and backed up with an excellent Scripture. Revelation also affirms your statement regarding the burning incense representing the prayers of the saints; Rev 5:8  And when He had taken the book, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each one having harps and golden vials full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints. Be encouraged as we develop and serve our King, my brother in Christ. :-)

Mornings are supposed to be the best time to meet with God. Unfortunately, I get up between 4 and 4:30 am, then get ready to meet a carpool at 6. I have to drive a half hour just to meet the carpool then we travel another hour to work. However, I think even five or ten minutes alone with God in the morning would make a difference in my day. I can then devote more time in prayer and Bible study in the evening.

Being obedient to the Lord seems to be the point. I must be honest. Exodus is hard for me to understand and relate to.

One thing I've learned from reading Exodus is that God had the Israelites focused on Him. All the details of how to worship God. We seem to have lost the awe of who God is and the reverence for Him. I also realize that when I am totally focused on Him, then I have more peace. I don't think about my circumstances or problems of the day. They don't seem to matter as much and I meditate on His word. :)

There is something significant about coming before the Lord each morning and offering ourselves to Him.

I also agree, I am so grateful for the time I spend with him every morning. Thank you Lord for leading me to a better understanding of you.
